Invisalign®
can help you get the great smile you have always dreamed of. It is
the invisible way to straighten your teeth without braces. Invisalign®
uses a series of clear removable aligners to straighten your teeth
without metal wires or brackets. This method has been proven effective
in clinical research and in orthodontic practices nationwide. In fact,
over 70% of all U.S. orthodontists and dentists are certified to treat
patients with Invisalign®.
The
patient will wear each set of the aligners for about two (2) weeks,
removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace
each aligner with the next series of aligners, your teeth will move
little by little, until they have straightened to the final position
that your dentist has prescribed.
During
the treatment, you will visit Dr. Foroutan or Dr. Tarighati once every
six (6) weeks to ensure that your teeth alignment is progressing as
planned. Total treatment time varies from patient to patient, but
generally, it averages between nine (9) to fifteen (15) months. The
average number of aligners worn during treatment is between eighteen
(18) and thirty (30).
Step
1: Visit Azmodent Smile Design Dental Group
During
this first step, you will need to make an appointment with Dr. Foroutan
or Dr. Tarighati.
During
the initial visit, your dentist will help you decide on your course of treatment.
Your dentist will take bite impressions of your teeth and will send these
to Invisalign® for processing.
Step
2: Invisalign® makes your aligners
Invisalign®
uses advanced 3-D computer imaging technology to transform your bite impressions
into a custom-made series of clear and removable aligners.
Step
3: You receive your aligners in a few weeks
During
your next visit to Azmodent Smile Design Dental Group, you will receive
your first set of aligners. Your dentist will most likely give you a few
additional sets for you to wear before you return for your next visit.
Step
4: You wear your aligners
As
mentioned above, you will wear each set of aligners day and night for about
two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. A typical
patient completes their treatment in about a year. You will visit Dr. Foroutan
or Dr. Tarighati only about every month or two to ensure that your treatment
is progressing as planned.

5: You have finished your treatment!
Congratulations!
When you are finished wearing each aligner in the series, your treatment
will be complete and you will have the beautiful smile you have always dreamed
of.
